Weary to the Bone?
Is getting out of bed and facing life a burden daily? Then consider this insight and consolation from a sage apostle of God.
“For to me, TO LIVE IS Christ and to die is gain… [Yes] to depart and be with Christ is far better.” Phil 2: 21,23
For the child of God, living IS Christ. Every moment we are alive is an opportunity for Christ to be in our world, for the sake of others and especially those we love. We may NOT find the will of God to be convenient, or easy, or accomodating. It is sometimes downright trying, and stressful, and thankless, and troublesome. The word does not say in vain,
“We must through MUCH tribulation, enter the kingdom of God” (Acts 14:22).
If you get discouraged along the way, don’t beat up on yourself. If you find yourself some mornings wishing that you had woke up in heaven, instead of down here on earth, that’s really okay. I feel that way often, to tell you the truth. After all, we are children of God. And, heaven is our hope, our home, and our birthright. We will all be there soon enough, and look to our heavenly rest and reward. Amen.
Just try to remember that when we awaken day by day in this world, it is only because our Lord has a divine purpose for us being here a while longer. So, as long as we are in this world together, let us encourage one another, love one another, support one another, and exhort one another to press on to do the will of our Heavenly Father. Selah.
