A Faith Full of Mysteries

The Incarnation. The Trinity. The New Birth.  Regeneration.  Sanctification. Eternal Judgement. MIND-BOGGLING!!!  I have been a student of God’s word on a professional level for forty (40) years now, and even now, all of that is dizzying to think about.

I have definitely concluded – and rightly so – that what I know is absolutely nothing. Apostle Paul even warned, “And if anyone thinks that he knows anything, he knows NOTHING yet as he ought to know” (1Corinthians 8:2).  But, I have learned to always keep meditating in God’s word, for His word imparts life to my soul and light to my heart.  In that spirit, the following words were given in the poem, Enlightenment.

It is the glory of God to conceal a thing;

But the honor of kings is to search out a matter.

Proverbs 25:2

1. It is the glory of our Maker

To conceal many things,

But the honor of the sainthood

Is to search them out as kings.

2. Precept upon precept

Line upon line

Precept upon precept

Gives light to the mind.

3. The only thing you’ll ever need

Is the first thing you received.

And the last thing you will understand

Is the first thing you believed.

4. So, precept upon precept

Line upon line

Precept upon precept

Brings sight to the blind.
