I started out this morning to merely edit my notes for a post on what prophecy has to say about President Donald Trump. But alas, the Holy Spirit issued me a mid-course correction. And, I quickly realized that I could not post on the President, until I had first posted on the state of the Presidency in America, at large and in general.
I am making these statements for the benefit of the body of Christ. My sincere hope is that after considering recent politics from the standpoint of Bible prophecy, instead of from the views cast by political partisanship, we’ll be much more able to find common ground, and to agree that the time has come for us to take a Biblical stance of unity, instead of being torn and divided along lines drawn by the world, the flesh, and the devil.
So for now, I will hold my thoughts about our new President. The more pressing topic is that America politically took a prophetic turn all the way back in 1991. Then, George H.W. Bush, our 41st president, made a very remarkable announcement in his State of the Union address, on Tuesday, January 29, 1991. He proclaimed, “This is a defining hour.” He said that, immediately backing up his announcement with the most prolific descriptions of “The New World Order” ever spoken by an American President. (The New World Order (NWO) is nothing other, nothing more, and nothing less than the Old World “Babylon” revived and revised.)
He continued with a barrage of dramatic, newly-coined phrases, identifying America and the American Presidency, as being the head of this new, yet old, governmental entity. I’ll list just a FEW. He said things like: “it is a big idea – a New World Order,” “diverse nations… drawn together in common cause,” “community of nation,” “the world community,” “the universal aspirations of mankind,” “the world has said,” “the world has answered with… 12 United Nations resolutions,” “the world now stands as one,” “the hope of [all] humanity turn to us,” “the world… a community of conscience,” and “The winds of change are with us now.” (Talk about “Globalism !!!”)
God said, “He will think to change times and laws” (Daniel 7:25). President 41 announced that the time had come when the world power (known as the United States of America, and her leader) had decided to change “times and laws.” That world power was what Daniel described as the “little horn” or “beast.” Today, we as New Testament Christians commonly refer to this prophetic entity as “The Antichrist.” But. we also commonly misunderstand him. We popularly think of him as a single individual, when the Bible plainly says,
“Children, it is the last hour. And as you have heard, “Antichrist is coming,” even now many antichrists have [already] come. We know from this that it is the last hour” (1John 2:18 HCSB, brackets mine).
Beloved, I have served God as a watchman for nearly the 40-year span of my ministry. Explaining and outlining all the Biblical details necessary to fully understand the prophetic scriptures is way beyond the scope of this little post. I am mainly doing one thing here. I am laying the groundwork to make it clearly understood that there is no political partisanship in my views. My goal is to unite the body of Christ around God’s word of truth. Before I do, I have to clearly affirm that since the time of President George H. W. Bush’s announcement of the NWO, all American Presidents have embodied the same spirit of Antichrist – that’s right, ALL of them. That includes Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and yes, Barack Obama too.
The word of God is no respecter of persons. It shows no favoritism. It is not racially biased, neither for nor against. Scripture says “All have sinned, and come short,” ”there is none righteous, no not one,” and “all flesh is grass” (Rom 3:23; 3:10; 1Peter 1:21). And, it is not racially nor politically partisan. And, from the NWO announcement till now, and going forward for as long as America stands, her presidents will all be the world’s chief embodiments of the Antichrist spirit. It will make absolutely NO DIFFERENCE whether they are republican, democrat, or independent, liberal or conservative, male or female, politically savvy or politically inexperienced, young or old, black or white, or of other national origin. The devil is an equal opportunity employer. His positions come in black and white, up close and personal, and in living color. The spirit of Antichrist is now out of the bag, and no one can put him back in. Whoever is put into the Oval Office from the grand announcement will only be the temporary host of the Antichrist spirit, until he leaves office. So, what’s the answer?
The answer is now what the answer has always been – JESUS Christ. Like that old song by Andre Crouch, “Jesus is the answer for the world today. Above him there’s no other. Jesus is the way.” But you say, but politically what’s the answer? And, I declare unto you, that for a nation that has categorically rejected Jesus Christ as the answer, THERE IS NO ANSWER. If you have Jesus, you have answers. No Jesus, no answers. So, America is utterly doomed. In Revelation 18:1-4,8 NIV, scripture says,
1 After this I saw another angel coming down from heaven. He had great authority, and the earth was illuminated by his splendor. 2 With a mighty voice he shouted:
“‘Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great!’
She has become a dwelling for demons
and a haunt for every impure spirit,
a haunt for every unclean bird,
a haunt for every unclean and detestable animal.
3 For all the nations have drunk
the maddening wine of her adulteries.
The kings of the earth committed adultery with her,
and the merchants of the earth grew rich from her excessive luxuries.”
4 Then I heard another voice from heaven say:
“‘Come out of her, my people,’
so that you will not share in her sins,
so that you will not receive any of her plagues;
5 for her sins are piled up to heaven,
and God has remembered her crimes.
8 Therefore in one day her plagues will overtake her:
death, mourning and famine.
She will be consumed by fire,
for mighty is the Lord God who judges her.
Those are the words of our God. That is the undisputable future of America. In other words, America HAS no future. So, when Jesus declared, “Every city or house divided against itself shall not stand, and every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation” (Matt 12:25), he wasn’t just whistling Dixie. Jesus was making a clear, absolute, divine decree – an unbreakable, prophetic pronouncement of the sign when you can know for sure that the “end is near” for any nation. So, what can we do now?
I need not tell you, God always has a plan of hope and promise for “His people.” I did not say, God always offers hope for America or Americans. I distinctly said, God offers hope for “His people” – for his people who have established a personal relationship with Him through Jesus Christ. I have seen God’s plan of hope, but I am at liberty now to share only one thing with my fellow American Christians. WE MUST ALL REPENT of this adulterous relationship we have with this American political and social system, vying and voting against each other for control of its goods and services. The divisions we have formed along those lines have been so great as to have allowed us to elect and to put into office one Antichrist after another. We have done this. We have brought this on ourselves by despising the unity and the oneness to which we are called in Christ Jesus. Until we repent of this, I am NOT AT LIBERTY to say another word about what God will do for us, or how he will save us out of this mess.
Thirty (30) years ago, I went on a 42-day fast, after God had shown me judgment coming upon America. In the midst of that fasting, God joined me to a group of other Christians, who were also praying for revival and unity in the city. At one point, God made me the keynote speaker at a rally of the group. Many Christians from diverse backgrounds, races, and denominations attended. I told them of a vision God had given me, and of Christ’s demands that we repent of our political partisanship against each other, because it was contrary to scripture and harmful to the body of Christ. And, what was their response? The group all but disowned and excommunicated me. So, now here we are again. And this time, our options are only to repent or perish. Did not Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. tell us this? “We are either going to learn to live together as brothers, or perish together as fools.”
With those words, I will leave the matter to your prayerful consideration. I may publish more about our dilemma, but I will hold God’s instructions for deliverance close to my vest, until there is clear repentance in the body of Christ in America. In 1986, the church did not repent, opting only to get rid of me, instead. So now, “What are you going to do???
